Full Journal pdf2009-04-07 House Journal Page 0774 HB 193 The Judiciary Committee considered: HOUSE BILL NO. 193 "An Act relating to representation by a legislator or legislative employee of another person in an administrative hearing; relating to charity events under the Legislative Ethics Act; requiring compensation of public members of the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics; exempting certain information from disclosure requirements of the Legislative Ethics Act; relating to the selection of alternate members and the participation of members and alternate members in formal proceedings of the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics and its subcommittees; and defining 'constituent,' 'constituent service,' 'legislative purpose,' 'nonlegislative purpose,' and 'private benefit' for the purposes of the Legislative Ethics Act." and recommends it be replaced with: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 193(JUD) "An Act increasing the amount of money certain lobbyists may spend on food and beverage for immediate consumption by a legislator, legislative employee, or a spouse or domestic partner of a legislator or legislative employee without disclosure to the Alaska Public Offices Commission; prohibiting public members of the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics from disclosing information that is confidential under the Legislative Ethics Act; relating to representation by a legislator or legislative employee of another person in an administrative hearing; relating to prohibitions on the use of state resources under the Legislative Ethics Act; relating to charity events under the Legislative Ethics Act; requiring compensation of public members of the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics; exempting certain information from disclosure requirements of the Legislative Ethics Act; relating to the selection of alternate members and the participation of members and alternate members in formal proceedings of the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics and its subcommittees; and defining 'constituent,' 'constituent service,' 'legislative 2009-04-07 House Journal Page 0775 purpose,' 'nonlegislative purpose,' and 'private benefit' for the purposes of the Legislative Ethics Act."
